From an early age, I discovered a passion for the arts. I was raised in Cleveland Heights, Ohio—just five miles from the Cleveland Museum of Art—where frequent family visits helped inspire my creativity.
I pursued this passion at Kent State University, earning my degree in art education, and later received my master’s degree from Cleveland State University. I spent ten years teaching in the Fairview Park School District, where I had the opportunity to inspire young artists and share my love of art.
Today, I live in the Chicago suburbs with my husband and our three children, and I teach as an art instructor at the DuPage Art League in Wheaton. Working with children has always been an important part of my life, and that influence continues to shape my work.
While I enjoy a variety of mediums—including drawing and pastels—watercolor has become my true passion. I especially love creating custom watercolor portraits of homes, capturing not just the architecture, but the memories and meaning behind each one.
